There has been a lot of change over the year. Really over the month.
Art school seems to be taking more time and effort than I though possible. That plus a real job in my field can be a bit overwhelming. I thought I had it all under control until recently when I was sitting down in my living room and my Macbook slipped out of it’s case and fell face first onto the floor. The screen was cracked but everything seemed to be working fine.
That is, until I got the screen fixed. It was never the same after that. The repairs ended up being more than the computer was worth (which is a decent amount for a mac..) and after having a panic attack. I had to do something I’m not fond of and ask for money. Luckily, my grandparents were there to help me and now I have my new MacBook which is even more beautiful than before.
Now when I see people carrying their macs around campus I get very afraid for them. I never want to go through the horror of not having a computer. I know it’s a first world problem, but not quite when your education will fail without one.
I did learn a valuable lesson though. Things are just things.
